This past weekend, I had my first hand at designing clothes to wear for a big event! We went to the VMAs to hang, perform and maybeeee win an award for ‘Best Rock Vid’. And while we didn’t come home with a Moonman, I still feel like we won… Like we beat out everybody! Partly due to the fact that we played as a band and were one of the only performances of the entire night that was entirely live… but also because I wore those clothes that I made (besides the Miu Miu stuff) and I felt like a million bucks in them!
I wish you could see the tuxedo stripes on the side of the suit pants I designed. It’s a sheer black stripe with gold and white beaded hearts. I was so proud of those!
But anyways, I can’t take full credit for any of this cause my good friend, Jen Johnson, actually made it all a reality. Hopefully, we’ll get to do more of this in the future!! What do you think? Did I do alright? Even a little?!
